The bolt had some kind of flaw that was exposed under pressure, these bolts dont usually break unless we are talking big hp and torque!

I think it is more common than you think.

The two local Ford dealers needed to order it; BMR was a 15 minute drive away and hopefully this will prove to be a better option in the end.

Tractor Supply sells grade 8 hardware by the pound. Lots of that on the race car.

Unless you are able to modify it and make sure that only the shanks see the shear loads.

Kelly, do you foresee selling these in the not so distant future, or if these are off the shelf can you provide where they can be purchased? Sounds like this would be a good item to have for the what if scenario...

Damn, I knew something was missing on mine. .

Nope, no red. Just the zinc coating.

Besides, we do not paint. We powder coat. And Hammertone is by far more popular. ;)
