Hey everyone, I'm back with more questions. I just installed the Stage3 whine mod(closed airbox to firewall.) To those who have done the same thing, is this your experience too? Normal driving with acceleration of any type(easy and gradual or I need to pass this car) makes a very constant suction sound like a vacuum. I know it's the intake sucking air, but DAMN, it's so noticeable. It's okay as a byproduct of the whine mod, but it's more there than the whine. Is this the same for everyone else? I don't get the whine unless I'm at WOT and over 4500 rpm. The vacuum sound would be okay if the whine came in sooner OR if the vacuum sound was 50% quieter and the whine came in where it does now. Hmmmm, I don't know. I think my whining is waay louder than the sound mod:shock:.

Thanks Peeps

Yeah, mine makes like a squealing/shrieking sound at low throttle. It is unbearable without some extra baffling in the tube (foam in my case).

Thanks Moffetts. I may try something along those lines. I'm glad mine isn't squealing. I'm glad you resolved that. The extremely loud vacuum does make me giggle because it's so crazy. I'll try a couple things for sure. Thanks man:like:

Yeah the sucking sound is not pleasant at all. I put a couple of rubber gloves over the end of my sound tube to prevent it

Found this which should help change what you’re after. Pretty much like TripleB mentioned.

The rubber gloves did the trick and is a must when adding the sound tube. Was super annoying before the gloves.

Are you able to still hear the whine?

did you put the gloves over the cap or just over the tube itself? The whine is a lot better without the cap but the air hissing noise is nearly unbearable
