Usually a wet towel does the trick. If not just use warm water and soap. Don't use interior detail sprays until the plastic is clean and dry.

Wondering if the magic eraser would remove it but make the color of the plastic lighter?

I would stick with soap/water or an APC.

determine if the black "coloring/paint/etc" is damaged.

it it's damaged welp that sucks

If not apply a dressing and repeat a few times the cleaning.

Bro, you just need to clean the plastic thoroughly with hot water, soap, and a brush. P&S makes a good cleaner, that you can spray on and let sit if needed.

keep in mind the plastic does not stain, but dirt and oils stick to it very easily and can be stubborn because of the texture.

I typically just use a slightly damp cloth, but occasionally (like today), I'll put the tiniest amount of P&S Absolute on the cloth.
