SCT Programmer Edelbrock SuperCharger

The programmer shipped yesterday and i just got a notice that its on the truck and out for delivery today. Probably get it tomorrow but in time for the weekend. Now that is service, Florida to Whitehorse in a day.

The Saga continues. Has anyone here had any success when the programmer refuses to install a custom tune. I worked with SCT for a total of 6hrs trying to get a tune on my car. The tech informed me that the programmer was a 2018 model yet i bought the kit in october 2019,not sure of the relevance but he seemed surprised at its age. The tune always fails right at the end with a Error # 110D8 which seems to be a really common problem and i tried every suggestion that has been made . The tech logged in with teamviewer and did a full format and reload of the device and now it wont even read the vehicle data like battery voltage and temperature . Originally it read 1839 degrees for temp then another time it read exactly what it should now nothing. I am beyond frustrated at this point and going with an nguage and remote tune is another 1400 canadian so i would like to get this to put a simple tune on,not going to be messing with it once its on.


I am open to all and any suggestions.

Curious: Did SCT send you a replacement tuner to try ? I installed the stage 2 Edelbrock last spring and it came with a BDX version of the tuner no problems with it

I am not sure what they sent. I had the local facility hold the parcel for pickup and now i see they dont open till noon then i have to have my tune updated with the new serial number. goona be close to get it for the weekend now

Welp, the new programmer came and igot my tune files and everything went just the way it was suppose to so Kudo's to SCT , BOOOO to Edelbrock they suck. and i am happy. ISH

Really glad you got resolved, but sorry for your frustration. So strange, as i have had good service from my Edelbrock contact to resolve a couple of initial issues.

Thanks for the kind words. This is just the universe trying to teach me not to lose my shit when things dont go the way i think they should. I tend to really put my back into these kinds of problems and it takes a bit before i relent. As my dad says, you slide farther on BS than you do on gravel.

As an aside i do have some belt noise but i have yet to run it more than 30 seconds so we will see after a full heat cycle.

Funny thing is, I much prefer the SCT BDX to the ngauge I had on my previous mustang. The sensitivity on the touch screen was always spotty but then it got to point of uselessness. For the price it should have a glass screen. I reported the problem to Lund who then directed me to emotion who tried to direct me back to Lund. At that point I gave up on it. No issues so far with the BDX. I thing both could use a step up in quality though.

I didnt know that the bdx existed i will look at it . The replacement unit seems to feel heavier than the first one . I cant be sure since i already had the first one boxed up.The screen also seemed nicer, but then again the first one was from 2017. I am just glad it worked and i can move on. I filled the coolant and ran the car up to temp and all is good, just a few things left but spring looks to be a ways off yet so no hurry. Already planning next winters upgrades lol. Your so lucky to live in Texas, if i was in the states thats where i would live for sure.

I truly wish i could tell you how it drives but sadly its still snowing where i live. Since the car has been sitting all winter i put the 91 tune on and will put in boostane. I am going to start out slow and do some logging before anything. soon as i know you will know .
