I have had dozens of tires plugged with out issue (never a track tire). I assume a patch involves unmounting and remounting a tire?My tire guys won’t plug any tire, patch if possible or replace.
LOL... i like it. Unfortuantely I dont see snow here in south FL although its supposed to be a low of 37 later in the week.Add some more screws at even spacing and you have a snow tire. I'd probably still drive on the road with a patch but wouldn't track them.
its def leaking but a slow leak at that so a patch is necessary. And completely agree about the contractors, bunch of slackers!I would spray it with some soapy water and see if any air is leaking around it. If not, I would try removing it and checking for leaks again. It may be a short screw that didn't penetrate that far and no real damage done. If it is leaking then pull it and have it patched or buy a new one if you feel it's necessary. If I replaced every tire that I found a short screw in I would be buying them all the time. Dang builders and carpenters can't seem to keep their stuff secured in their pick ups and vans.
Yep. Plug and play. Good to go! Never had a problem. Tire guys want to sell a tire, understandably.I've seen guys run plug patch fixes on the race track before. Since a plug patch vulcanizes, you'll be fine.
