Thanks fellas.

Ended up getting a set of 325s for the rear instead of the stock 315s.

Will be running 305 and 325 Cup2s on the track for the next few sessions then will go back to the 315s for a comparison.

Oh I absolutely believe it in regards to the cup2s. Is it really a noticable difference to a layman like myself with the super sports? I am not trying to be a smart ass but am genuinely interested.

I just got the G2s and it is the first time I have ever done anything other than an A/s tire and was worried about tread wear. Glad to hear they are known for longevity, relatively speaking. I did notice a quieter ride on the highway and I think it was slightly smoother.

Sorry to rant. Just thoroughly impressed with the difference wheels and tires have made in the car experience.
On a road course, definitely. The biggest thing you'd probably feel is actually braking performance, not necessarily lateral G's unless you've ripped up the track enough to know the difference and you're really hitting apexes nicely. I don't want to make it sound like they're a bad choice but they're most certainly a street tire made for the street. It just so happens to be that Super Sports are the best of the best street tires and Cup 2's are...well, let's be real, they're almost a cheater tire.

That is what we like to hear!
