Is there any scan tool (OBD rig) that also provides an USB port to power my dash cam? That would be a cool feature but I cannot find one.

? You sure about that idea ? OBD is always powered, it'll discharge your battery.

I recommend the OBDX too. However, if you want something for just a little more simple to use, I have an Autel for sale, $50, if you are interested.

Foxwell makes some good scan tools and diagnostics tools. (There’s a difference). If all you want is something to read codes don’t spend more than $30 and buy something from an auto parts store. If you want the ability to read hard-codes not shown in your typical OBD notifications then get a diagnostic tool. Things like SRS codes cannot be read and cleared by basic scanners.
