Leaving no stone unturned....this is a dream S550 engine build for sure!

I'll have to check this out in person once shes all buttoned up Dennis :)

SoCalTim Thank you my friend, and most definitely we'll have to get together once she's all finished up

The kicker will be having to wait for the break-in period before we can see her in all her glory!

evolved I'll have the 1000 break in miles on her by Sunday night the 16th, then she goes in for some additional mods on the 17th, including the final fluid changes, then she'ss be ready to sing on the 19th :headbang: :headbang:

This build has surpassed maximum awesomeness!!!

96MUSTANG06 Thank you my friend ;)

I think this is a awesome build, In fact your pictures on Project6gr is what really sealed the deal on my decision to pick Rudy Red. My first red car as everything has been black or a gun metal/grey color. The way your car sits and looks is just great. I wanted to ask, i haven't seen it posted so im sorry if it has been, But after the build to the 5.2, why not go turbo? I dont know the limits of the whipple, im still researching all this, but i haven't seen a whipple thats over 850-900whp. Again they may be out there, i just haven't seen them yet. With a built engine i was under the impression you could make 1500whp no problem.. Again not knocking this build, its more then ill ever have in my mustang when i finally get it. i was just wondering the thoughts behind why you didnt switch. My plans are for a nice, quiet-ish exhaust and a whipple and to make 70-ish whp for my daily. its my impression this shouldn't be a problem and can drive all day everyday this way.... with e85 of course lol

Thank you for your time

gixxersixxerman Thanks Thomas  My car is my daily driver and with my previous setup of the Whipple on the 5.0 motor I was putting down 700+ HP to the rear wheels. With going to the 5.2L motor I wasn't looking to change from the Whipple to a turbo or twin turbo system. I love the Whipple and how the linear power band is for my style of favorite driving, which is canyon carving. With the 5.2L and the Whipple my daily setup will be running the 3.50" pulley and I should be around 850 RWHP. When I drop down 1 pulley size and run 100 octane gas I should be in excess of 1000 Rwhp, which for being my daily is way more than I need.

I'm already starting to feel a little sheepish looking at the projected numbers you'll be attaining with that 5.2 :(

Congrats Dennis! Cannot wait to see that beast on the road!! :headbang:

HAHA yeah it's been DarkHorse5.0 since day one here on the forums. I'm going to be changing that to something more appropriate of the current car :D
