Apparently, according to C&D, 4000lbs (for you exact weight guys out there 3992.572lbs) without the driver with less than a 1/4 tank of gasoline in it. So much for that 500 HP.

Just another wonderful reason to add to my list for why I decided to get a MY23 instead of ordering a 24🤮

500 hp for 4000 lbs is actually worse than my 23 GT which clocks in at just over 3700 and makes nearly 500 itself at the crank. I'm hoping they've done some magic and make it handle well, but it'll more than definitely feel down on power.

Do you believe in magic ? Standard tires are 255/35R19 front and 275/30R19 rear Pirelli P Zero.

Savagegeese also reconfirmed C&D findings in their video documentary today (towards the end). I'm curious as I have a GT/CS, how it will compare once I have more bracing and remove the resonator, how far off the car will be (especially vs the GT premium rather than the DH as thats more mangoes to mangoes).
Given how advanced the aftermarket is now, the question is how easily will it be to get an S550 close to the handling of the S650.
I believe the MT82D4 is essentially unchanged so that should be the same as my 23. Really we are only talking a difference in steering racks.

7.8% more lbs for 6.4% more HP, then.

So glad they saved on the weight by dropping the physical buttons, dual eyebrows and heated/cooled recaros. Or by engineering flat-bottom steering wheels to save on that extra arc. /s

For those still unhappy, don’t forget to option the carbon wheels for an extra 8k. Your wallet will feel the weight difference, guaranteed!

Those 2 big screens LOL
I thought they were LCDs with only plastic covers, but they seem to be good old CRT glass screens.
I wonder how they integrated the touch function there, that must be one of the innovations, in this new miraculous automobile.
I'm starting to like it! 😍

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's not that much more than a similarly equipped Mach 1. It gained less than 100lbs, which isn't great but not massive or anything. The automatic cars are a decent bit heavier than the manual ones too, which is another thing to consider. Same with performance pack versus base, all that stuff adds weight.

That 4k weight is the base dark horse. W/ the 10R80, add another hundo to it.

I saw something about the 2024 base GT and IIRC it said 3844 lbs. I think the S550 base GT was around 3730 or so. Seems like around 100 lbs weight gain for a GT and a little more for the DH over the Mach 1.

Where did all the weight come from - did they add 10 more airbags or something? Not sure when the Mustang became the Cadillac of Fords. She's a big girl now.
