Prediction OPINIONS wanted! Do you predict an influx of used GT350's to come on the market when the GT500 is re-released? How many plan on trading in your GT350 for the GT500?? This could be very good for me.

I will *most likely* trade up for GT500 if the price would be right... It all depends on ADM paraphernalia which is known to infect Ford dealers...

I think there will be a pretty decent jump in cars on the market, but I also feel that it will be gradual vs a spike. With Ford making the 350 for yet another year (so much for a rare car, huh?), I'm not sure how that will (if at all) affect the initial production volume of the GT500 if there is overlap. Regardless, initial trade ins for factory orders and the first few hundred that hit dealer lots are going to be slow coming along. Plus there are a lot of people out there that are going to be trading mustangs other than the GT350/outright buying the new GT500. So I think there will be an influx, but it'll be a gradual one, at least in the initial few months. The other thing to remember here is while the GT500 is the shiny new toy, the GT350 is still a special car that a lot of us are going to hold on to because of what it is.

Also, we don't have a price point on the 500 to my knowledge; if we do someone correct me. But I can almost guarantee the 500 is going to be more expensive than the 350, which was a $60,000 car before ADM. If it's a lot more expensive, plus ridiculous ADM, then that may deter people from trading in for the 500 due to cost.

This is all just my speculation and I have no solid data to back it up though.

I am not tracking it, but the Green Mountain roads are just as much fun to rip on IMO. And with the Borla ATAK I have on it, and the total lack of traffic in Northern VT, I have no issues hearing it... ever.
Actually, they are not. Nothing beats real track time, just you, the apex and the Voodoo ... :)

Fair enough. I may track it in the future but for right now I'm staying on the road. I want to get really confident in my abilities with the car before I track it so I don't end up looking like one of those Nurburgring fail videos lol

Thats kind of how I'm thinking. I'm hoping that the GT500 comes out early 2019 (or at least pre-orders) so by summer there will be some more options for used GT350's. Anyone planning on doing this trade up, keep me in mind.

I'd sell you mine but I'm out of your price point by a solid margin. Honestly, because you;re not in a hurry I would suggest that you maybe look for a new 16 or 17 when the 500 hits the market. You will have a lot of leverage to use on a dealer because they're going to be desperate to get the 350's off the lot to clear capitol for the 500s. Even now, there are still a bunch of brand new 2016's on the lots with pretty hefty discounts. If your plan is to get a used 2016 and then dump a few grand into it for the coolers anyway, you may be pleasantly surprised to find out that you can score a TP '16 or a '17, brand new for close to your price point.

I honestly have no intention to track it. I would, however like to have the piece of mind of having the trans and diff. Cooler. So I just have to decide if it's worth the money for me to jump from a 16 to a 17 for that reason. PM me about yours, in a few months I may be in a different situation.

Thats a good plan. I have been lusting over a GT350 since they launched. When they launched I went searching for one and of course I could not find one at any reasonable price. About 1.5 years ago I decided to forgo the GT350 and purchase a Ford Focus RS. I liked the Focus RS and put about 4 grand into it so that it was extremely fast (420whp), but I just never fell in love with the car. I started searching for a luxury performance car and was looking to get an Audi RS3 or a BMW M4/M3.

I searched for about four months for a nice car and I could never find one with the package I wanted, low miles and/or a reasonable cost. I remembered that the GT500 had been announced so I started keeping an eye out for a lightly used GT350. Fortune smiled upon me and three of them showed up locally, actually four if I count the 2017 GT350R that sold for $57K in about five minutes that I missed! lol.

The three that showed up were a 2016 Race Red with black stripes that had 15K miles. Dealer wants $57.9k, a 2017 White with blue stripe base with 15.5k miles where the dealer wants $58.9k and a 2017 Race Red with black stripe and convenience package with 4700 miles that was priced at $55.9k. I did a ton of research and comparisons and the GT350 came out on top for me between all of the cars that I was looking at. I decided to take a shot at negotiating for the low mileage red one. I went to the dealer and told them that I wanted a great deal and would buy now. After a few minutes the dealer agreed and dropped the price down two grand for me. I took the car to my buddy at Rich Ford and he said it was mint with zero issues and therefore bought it.

I never thought I would be driving one of these cars. Just keep looking. I am sure you can find one. There is a 2017 yellow w/black stripe base at my local Ford and they are asking $57K, but I am sure they would take quite a bit less.

Also waiting to save a bit on the down payment to make my payments around the 500 a month range- these cars ARE def. coming down in price, especially some R’s..... keep on saving for now, although I am getting froggy seeing all the options out there-
Been on top of apr% and while someone mentioned ask what the current rates are going for, and at least here in ny, they give you a ball park of oh you can see these numbers BUT until you actually run your credit you won’t get a direct number.... So in my current situation a new born, my other son under 2, and literally just purchased our first house- I must keep saving for a bigger down payment because for me, the Shelby was always part of my life’s plan-
(FDNY, and work 2 other jobs by the way) the city is unforgiving and everything costs a ton of money

I'm hoping the price settles down on the used market for the 350's for awhile once the 500's are actually out. I plan on buying a 350 in early 2021 and I imagine the 500's will still be pretty hot by then and hopefully the prices on them come down and more people make the move to get into one and trade in their 350 or it at least keeps the used market value of the 350's down. Long term I want these cars to hold their value but short term I want what's best for me. I'll be looking to buy one once my F150 is paid off and I'm hoping to find a 2019 in the $40,000 - $43,000 range at that time.

Why not a lightly used 19 Bullitt? Still get some exclusivity, def cheaper, Bullitts are badass, maintenance costs are less. My Bullitt gets more comments on the road than the 350. Get the magneride and recaros and strap yourself in for some fun. Bullitts sound badass too. anyway head on down to the Bullitt forum and read the buyers remorse thread.

I have been going against the grain and I feel like if anything, the 500 is going to stabilize the GT350 market. This is the first time two world class Shelby cars have been out at the same time since the 60's. That little Shelby stint in the late 2000's...yeah that doesn't count. No one wanted a Shelby GT lol.
