Does anyone have a picture of the San Li fuel pump assemble? I am curious what pumps he uses and how the lines are hooked up.

I could take a picture of mine but you would not see much .. It uses twin GT500 factory pumps , AN fitting with push lock hoses that are marked for E85 use ..Relays for the pumps and all wiring needed for install .. Adaptor for the stock fuel rail and return line to the hat ..Adjustable fuel regulator with boost fitting .. It a very nice kit and simple install ... The hardest thing to do is remove the locking ring off the factory fuel pump ..

I thought it used 465’s for the pumps? Any one know if you can go with those over factory gt500 pumps?

It uses factory gt500/gt350 pumps. I've heard of people using 465's in this hat, I'm sure it's something he could do. If you think you're going to outgrow this system, just go with a fore setup or piece together your own. I didn't get any pics of mine that I just installed (just got to finish wiring when I get a day off work), but the fuel hat looks stock except for the fitting for the return line, and having a second pump in the hat.

The interesting thing is the GT350 hat cost 182 and the GT500 is 350. I think I can piece one together with the GT350 hat very cheap since I already have some of the parts from my fuel tank dump kit. I wonder if the feed line, pumps or stock fuel rail is the limiting factor of this system.

The limiting factor is that it "dead-heads" at the rails. If you make it a true return fuel system, it will bump up beyond 800whp on E85.

I've been thinking about doing this. How would you plumb it with a new rail and how much more do you think it could support? I don't know the science behind dead head vs. true return and why it supports more power with same pumps and injectors. At some point I would think the stock feed line is limiting too.

I would think the feed line and pumps would be more of a limit than dead head but I am slow. Rails are not that expensive. I am thinking about building my own using gt 350 pumps. I am going to use a 8an line for return so I can use it with a bigger system later. I am also going with a different regulator because that one has 6an ports.

Factory gt500 pumps or walbro 465's it doesnt matter. You can only move so much fuel through a 3/8ths factory line. Doing aftermarket rails with a return line off of them wont make the system handle more. Sai has already confirmed this with me. If you want more, go to his Triple pump system.

That is sort of what I was thinking. I assumed the line is the limiting factor.

At that point wouldn't you need to go to an aftermarket hat to run a bigger line? Not sure you can do anything to the feed on the stock fuel hat.

No you cant. You would need the aftermarket hat for the bigger feed.
