Quick question..anyone know if the sai li setup has both pumps running full time or is one on a hobbs?

Also i have 2 BAPs and i'm wondering if it would be worth running them with the setup for a little more headroom. Good idea? Not needed? I'm only looking for about 700-750 whp on E.

thanks!

Also, i'm thinking about running a new fuel line. What size would be recommend at 750 whp on E85? -6AN or -8AN?

thanks for any advice!

Not sure if the kit has changed since I got mine but mine does not have a Hobbs switch.

The Sai Li kit runs both pumps all the time. A BAP is not needed unless you are trying to make more than 800 wheel. I made 740 on E85 with mine on my 14 GT with a D1SC on the stock motor. I wouldn't waste money running a new fuel line as your stock line is 3/8" which is equivalent to -6AN. If you are ever looking to make more than 800 I would highly suggest just upgrading to a fore dual or triple pump system. That's what I will be doing since I have a built motor now.

Awesome... good info!
Yeah I already have the sai li kit...
Only reason I mentioned running a new fuel line is that I was considering putting a fuel filter inline (since the gt350 fuel pumps don’t have the same filters as the regular gt pumps)
and it just seemed like it would be easier to redo the whole line...

Perhaps I could just buy a few fittings to attach the filter at the end of the stock line in the engine bay... thoughts?

That’s the simple solution.

Sai's dual pump kits run the pumps full time and aren't on a hobbs switch. You can add a hobbs switch if you like but I personally don't see any reason to. As far as running a fuel pump booster on them we typically don't recommend them in return style configurations as we recommend pumps to support the power level you intend on making from the beginning without the need of one. Can it be done? Yes. It's is a common practice? No.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

WOW. Talk about reviving a dead thread.

Its my understanding the SAI Li kit is good for claimed 950wheel as is on E85 and turbo(s). Thats plenty for a vast majority of us.

That’s what I meant by claimed. Would think at that ceiling the stock rails would
become a restrictions. If anything needs upgraded it’s the rails.

The stock 15-17 rails are better then the 18-20 rails they will hold 900 hp
