Grimace427, thanks for posting te vids. I love seeing cars with temp plates getting beat on. Lol

I never thought this new Vette would be such a strong drag performer. Impressive.

How many would be interested in a 3150 lb s550 with 490-500HP and DCT for a $10,000 premium over the GT?

Would you buy the Vette C7 at $64,000 or the Mustang at $48,000 with comparable options?
Which Mustang you regarding too? I wouldn't buy a Mustang GT Premium for $48,000

3150lbs can't see it happen near future
What about performance around the track?

I dont understand the new Z06. Why SC? Are they dropping ZR1? Will ZR1 be TT? Personally I think the Z06 should stay NA. What about price? Are they putting it way up there so to give the Z/28 some room?
A 550hp NA z06 with significant weight reduction would have been sweet. I'm sure this will be a hell of a car, but why go SC?

First, lets make sure there isn't some internal leaks being bunched together for just one model. There could be info from the ZR1 project and LT3 bleeding into the Z06 anticipation. I am still hoping there is an N/A Z06 for competition.

If indeed the Z06 does move to a forced induction engine, it may signal a draw down on the competitive side. I have also seen BMW take the M4 to a full -size wheelbase for more passenger/cargo room. This is to bolster sales... however, BMW moving to a turbo 6 is something Porsche has done, and has done well. We will see if a Turbo 6 can hold off the V8's in it's class.

Definitely prefer the Z06 to be N/A. I've heard that there will be only one hipo version of the c7, so I fear the Z06 is going the S/C route. Going to be a great car, but maybe a modded Z51 would be more my style.

According to what the screenshot showed, it is clear this was the Z06. I've read in one auto publication recently that the likelihood of a ZR1 coming to market is much lower than before, given the expense and low sales volumes.

OK, just saw some pics on Jalopnik, and the Z06 looks pretty amazing. Sounds like there will be three aero options, so maybe the Jalop picks have one of the more racy versions, because it looks very track focused and perhaps not too useful on a street (or at least a street with any kind of bump). Anyhow, while I still not quite sold on the S/C, it may be that the Z06 IS more my style.

This I'd like to see! Do you have links to substantiate this?
The C7 will run circles around the '13 '14 GT500 in every aspect but in a straight line. There are plenty of bone stock C7's running mid 11's.

No brainer. C7 first choice, GT Mustang second choice. I will select 2nd choice b/c of price.
