Think about it, against a camaro ford has the mustang, against the corvette now ford has the gt350, but ford gt has no gm competitor cause its a unique class, but i heard a c7-8 zora zr1 is coming so that might be the solution!

Back to gt350, yes the car handles great now and all but why still have a back seat space on a track car with no seats and carry that excess weight for the R version? I am an engineer and it doesn't make sense to me! If you are okay taking the back seat out for weight saving reasons, why not actually take that entire space out of the car and make the car lighter, smaller and better well balanced! Nobody is buying the gt350 for its back seat! If you want a family hauler get a sedan or maybe a mustang gt!

The gt350 is... Wait for it... A MUSTANG.

Therefore it's competition is Camaro and challenger.

Not corvette. Although it does get well in that comparison.

Simple really. You keep trying to make a point that doesn't exist.

The gt350 is at its core a track tuned mustang. Not some new and different platform. There are different levels of mustang just like there are different levels of Camaro. But never do any of those levels cause the car to somehow escape what it is: a pony car. Designed around a 4 seat chassis.

The corvette will have its true competition soon enough.
