My understanding is that the EB Performance Pack uses a different splitter than non-Perf Pack cars. Is the EB Perf Pack splitter the same as the GT PP1 splitter? Thanks.

Took me a little while to find it but this 2018 EB PP uses JR3Z-17626-A Belly pan and JR3Z-17D957-AA Splitter

Which are the same parts used for this EB premium

Update: Previously, I used a leaf blower to blow air into my ducts and I put my hand around the rotor vents. Did not feel much air flow if any at all so I assumed the hose setup was poor. Well last night, I did the same test but wtih the rotors off and placed my hand directly in front of the duct exit. There was TONS of air flow! I think when the rotors are in motion, it does indeed act like a pump and pull the air through the vanes.

Final verdict (in my opinion): I would have gone with the scoop and flap method but as I already have the ducts installed, I'll just keep them. Some temp stickers or some IR gun readings in the future will be the final determining factor.

It looks like the 2015-17 splitter is different than the 18 and up splitter. Will the deflector be as effective on the 15?

Not entirely sure. Email the guys at Vorshlag. They will be able to help you as they are familiar with both versions of the S550 platform.

I sent them a message. I also wonder if having a bigger deflector than stock will help any if the goal is to just get air to the center of the rotor.

The PP1 GT uses JR3Z-17626-B belly pan and JR3Z-17D957-BA Splitter
The EB Prem. uses JR3Z-17626-A belly pan and JR3Z-17D957-AA Splitter

It's hard to say if they are interchangeable though as we dont have proven data
they aren't interchangeable at least in the sense that R3Z-17626-B doesn't remotely match up to the 2018+ EB/PP bumper itself.

The way the venting is on the stock brakes, I think you could have all sorts of ducting and not make much difference. When you put air to the middle of the disc it's usually in the attempt to have it go out the disc vents (sometimes it's meant to cool wheel bearings) . That can't happen with the stock discs, so the deflector, which puts air on the caliper & disc is probably as good as anything.

A simple but effective mod to allow cool air to both the rotor as well as the wheel bearings. Not the air deflector but the cut out of the dust shield . Also I painted the air deflector with a hard paint in order to see how much heavy debris may hit the rotor assembly. So far not too bad.

I thought factory GT PP cars had the tiny heat shields (in pic below), and not a full dust shield? It would seem to defeat the purpose of the air channels on the tray and deflector plates on the arm, if they are going to cover the back of the rotor with a dust shield?
