I think they will top the Hellcat somewhere in the ballpark of 715 HP.

I'd have to agree.

However, with the efficiency of Fords v8 engines in terms of making power combined with ecoboost tech, I wouldn't be surprised if they went well beyond.

It's all simply a matter of what they WANT to do at this point.

I'm thinking a twin turbo 5.2 v8 800+ hp gt500 is very much a possibility.

Now I'm dreaming of a 10 speed automatic and AWD to enable consistent, reliable laughter at the GTR guys. But hey, a little dream never hurt nobody, right?

+1 same little dream here, for that price range its might be wearing a Lincoln badge.

If Ken Block has his way your dream may come true :D

I've been thinking AWD as well - it would set the cat amongst the pigeons. First 9 second factory muscle car.

Although I think a little more wall thickness is required for boost. Maybe not a 5.2.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but............electric motors for the front wheels? Whilst I'm the last person that wants an electric Mustang, if that means the V8 lives on for another generation, I could live with it!

Well, there was a point when we didn't expect the supercars to go hybrid....

I think it'd be a brave move, but then again Mark Fields did recently state that Ford is thinking, acting and disrupting like a start up. You can't be that if you don't stay ahead of the curve.

The GT500 should be the one to shift the goal posts in it's segment, also because it's Ford (accessible) flagship.
