Nice to know! This has been really helpful thank you

Didn't do any measurements other than the butt dyno. Still of the opinion that I think there's an improvement in responsiveness. Not considering for a minute removing it to return or go back to stock.

Oh and I thought of something else- is there an insert that goes in the tube that can be removed to run a wider MAF diameter (for tune only use)?

No exhaust note change but I deleted the sound tube. Some other guys who have noted an "exhaust" sound difference after installing an intake ended up thinking it was because of the sound tube piping more intake noise into the cabin. Also I have the LTH Scorpion exhaust with a J-pipe that cancels out certain exhaust frequencies so between that and the stock resonator not sure any intake change could affect the exhaust sound.
I’m so close to buying this. One question: you stated you really feel a difference around 3500+ rpm... how often did you punch it prior to installing the intake? Obviously the more you did prior the more accurate your butt dyno comparison :).

Thanks for the info

Yeah really seems like a great option, I really want to know if the IAT’s are like stock and if the closed box is effective

personally started with a pmas but didnt like the drivability. switched back to stock box with drop in dry filter and mishimoto intake tube and like it much better. smoother driving habits and still pulls just as hard maybe moreso

I don't think so but am not sure.

Tough to make an accurate call when you are only adding 5% more HP and TQ. I believe it feels a little more responsive and pulls a little harder. Have installed many CAIs over the years and have always found them to be one of those mods where you know it's not slower and you think it probably feels faster. To me it was worth the money, to other people it may not be.

Really nice intake and I like the fit and finish.

But unfortunately injen still does not have a CARB EO for this intake currently vs Roush CAI for those in CA. I am sure if injen got a Carb EO for this, then it would be more attractive to some.

I saw that, only reason why I didn’t mention it is it seems no one has run it and the power gains weren’t as impressive. It seems a decent amount of people have used Injen and id like to hear from them on their experiences. Afe as well

I also think this looks cool but so few people have it so hard to find much on reviews but they get lots of stars. says for racing only...

It looks like probably one of the lowest profile closed CAI I can find on the S550,

I just bought the Injen Evolution CAI yesterday. InjenTechnology is having supply issues so i won't have it for a few weeks. I'll report back with any impressions after I install and test it.

I'll probably do a few videos on my YT channel for anyone interested. YT: Street707
I've been waiting for the Ford Performance Power Pack to be released for 18-20 stangs for so long but I'm honestly too scared to loose my warranty. THERE I SAID IT!!! Lol

That being said I bought this CAI after a ton of research. I hope to cover things like....iat's, mpgs and any added ponies via butt Dyno. I Currently have a steeda high flow filter and X-Pipe.
That will be my benchmark. I don't have access to a Dyno anytime soon but someday I'll get to one.

Oh nice ya know I watch your channel! Good luck with the intake when you get it and I’d definitely love to see content. It really looks like a great intake. What research led you to it? I still haven’t seen much other than this thread

I ran across this Roush CAI install and someone was able to retain the entire engine cover?

So I guess you actually do not need to even cut anything?

Just tons of youtube videos, forums, reviews, product/specs comparisons. Everything points to the injen. The afe momentum gt was a close second but injen was cheaper and I saw no additional benefit in paying more.

Btw.....thanks for watching. You probably know my history with the Stang and I just can't convince myself to tune the car until after my 5 years is up. Once my warranty is gone I'll tune the car but until than I just can't do it. Lol I've got 3 more years on my warranty. I'll keep modding theathe car as I can but I'll probably have an ngauge in the car much sooner than I tune it. Lol
