I've never heard much of a whine out the Roush SC. Curious why the Hellcat has such a crazy whine and in this case barely any at all.

I’m curious about that as well. It’s not the same without the whine

You can get whine inside the cabin by doing the whine mod.

Boost - how much are you pushing, 8 lbs? My 2014 GT had a Roush with 7 and I never heard it. My 2020 Trackhawk is about 17 lbs, and it sounds lovely

I remember having turboed cars and loving the BOV sound. Can’t stand hearing them now just like I don’t wanna hear my SC whine. All that matters is you hear my ear piercing exhaust as I blow by you when you wanna try me on the street.

Is a whine even something important? I don't think I'd like anything whining on my car other than it running smooth lol. So why is a whine important to you out of curiosity? The SC does what it's supposed to do. A whining supercharger would be more of a concern in my opinion. I'm not an expert but I believe the belt type has more to do with it, multi rib belts on modern cars don't whine much. If you're hearing your SC whine a lot on your newer car with rib belt setup, personally you should be worried lol.

I'm sure the other part of less whine has more to do with rotor and especially gear design changes by manufacturers now. Kenne Bell hasn't evolved their design much, they still have twin screw type superchargers, if you're looking for more high pitched whine, that's the way to go.
