I have one as well and seems to work well. I have noticed a slight delay when pressing buttons on the touch screen. Maybe 1-2 second lag. Otherwise audio seems to sound the same.
I use the Course Motorsports mount. https://coursemotorsports.com/collections/phone-mounts-1/products/direct-fit-phone-mount-ford-mustang-mustang-gt-gt-350-gt-500-2015-present
Mounts beside the radio (behind the bezel). I also have their Wireless charger mount. It holds the phone sturdy and...
So right now it is in for a P0141 code, bank 1 sensor 2. Replaced sensor and still having issues. Checked the harness and everything is checking out good. They have now turned it over to Roush and are working through Roush to figure out if it is a tuning issue. Now I play the waiting game I suppose.
So just a counter point, It doesn’t have to be a Ford Dealership that does the installation. It can be any ASE certified mechanic.
I had mine installed at a local performance shop. Warranty was registered through Roush. Currently, it is at a Ford dealer having warranty work done. No questions...
I got mine installed at Universally Modified Performance. They did an awesome job. Had a couple of hiccups with the Roush Tune initially, but they were able to work it out with Roush/Ford since they had to reflash the computer to stock a few times.
Checked my Fordpass app to see how much gas the dealer has run out of my Mustang diagnosing a P0141 code. So far they have run it down to a half tank from full! O2 sensor replacement didn't clear the code. Hoping it is not going to turn into a month long fiasco. Was told they are sending logs to...
If it is the UPR dual cans, they unscrew counter clockwise from the top of the housing. They can be a little tight. The front one I usually have to take my radiator shroud off to get to the screw that holds the can to the mount.
I started with the mag mount that came with it but found that it didn’t hold the iPhone 13 Max sturdy. The phone kept bouncing off of the mount. I broke down and added their wireless charger mount that clamps the phone and have been happy with it.
Still lurking with mine. Waiting to blow through the 3y/36 mile warrant for a proper tune. Will be glad to have the transmission shifts cleaned up with the proper tune. Not sure Roush will ever get that worked out.
I did mine back in October and the installation was a piece of cake. Installation took me a couple hours simply because finding the correct wire to hook the light to was a pain. To be honest, the actual light bar installation was completed in 30 mins. The wiring took the rest of the time.
I paid $12500 for my Roush Stage 2 Supercharger installation and OPG installation. This price doesn't look too far off of that. The Whipple kit is typically a little more for cost so I think this quote looks about right. Just my opinion.
I went with the Dual UPR catch cans for my RoushCharged ’21. Honestly, If I was to buy again, I would only get the passenger side. Driver’s side never collects anything from what I have seen so far.
