Glad it's back and looking good. Mine's still in the shop. They can't figure out how to fix the ticking sound in the driver's side latch area. At least I'm in a loaner and not draining my bank account through Uber rides.Got the mustang back. Took a day and a half. Inner liner looks good, much firmer then before. The only bad thing is the new liner gives of a horrible chemical smell.
I've put together a thread on this (link below), it's a painful experience to get it fixed. Took two Ford dealers and over 18 months in the end but I think it's finally sorted just in time for the warranty to end...For who wants a update...
I got my car back , for now. As I'm living in uae/abu dhabi some parts are not available in a shot time so my car will got back around dec when the parts are here.
The info a got to fix the roof problem for my car is that they will change ( again ) the inner roof and the new inner roof will have, or they will ad elastic bands / springs to help the covers slide in, and not get stuck between the metal frame any more.
Hopefully it will ceep work properly after that![]()
Watch the roof as it passes through the point where you have the issue. Does it make a clicking/notching noise? Does one side seem to catch?I m the one who started the thread. I was able to open the roof just 2 times for short drive since it was changed. First i can hear a big noise when i open it , when it s almost fully opened. It s the big grey platic piece that almost every time is in the wrong side if the mecanism. And i have already some wear marks on the side. So Nothing has changed and it added another issue when i open the roof. Just after the repair i noticed this noise , but dealer told me because it was winter blablabla.
Yes exactly this sound. it s only on the driver side for me. But if just before fully opened i put the platic sheet manually on the wright side no sound and the roof is not pinched like the picture i have posted where it is worn on the edgeWatch the roof as it passes through the point where you have the issue. I potentially had the same issue on mine but need a more detail.
It's caused by a badly fitted headliner, a new one is needed anyway due to the damage but there we go. They just need to get it right this time round, been there myself with my headliner after a roof change.Yes exactly this sound. it s only on the driver side for me.
