This question may have been answered already, but in dire need here. I just upgraded my wheels and tires from 18" factory to 20" I have 20x9 on front and 20x10.5 on the back. Michellin ultra super sport tires at 265/35ZR20 Front, 275/35ZR20 back. I purchased mud lips from American Muscle for 149.00 front and rear. Seems the problem still exists.. I can still hear rocks peppering my car. I've noticed on the right side a few small chips here and there just before the rear wheel.. What can been done to prevent this?

I'm hoping this is the solution. Especially, with the 399.00 price tag.

If you drive the car, you will eventually get some sort of road rash. It's just a matter of time.

Or try mud flaps from American Muscle. Pricey...but well made with good coverage.

I run them.

It’s been an issue since the S550 hit the roads... and depending on car color, the chips are more visible on darker colors, like black.

Yep. Paint protection film is the best answer.

Thanks everyone.. Once I get the mudflaps on from CJ Pony's, I'll look into getting the cleartastic mentioned. Surely, between the two, it will be protected well. I've had it since November 19th, and I've spent over 10K so far with mods etc... I've already got the American Muscle Mudflaps for the 149.00 on it.. They are not working for me. Still kicking up rocks.

2nd vote for Anchor Room in addition to front flaps. I got the extended rear protection also. Easy DIY with patience.

The problem I see with that kit is that the piece in front of the rear wheel wheel needs to be taller. I've got chips and sand blasting significantly higher than that in front of the rear fender.

EDIT - I actually looked at it and taller is an option for more money. Carry on.
