Washed the car today, found two rock chips on the front bumper. Anyone has any advice how to fix them, or just use the touch up paint? Thanks in advance.

Dang two already, I have maybe 4 or 5 on my 14 in the 15 months or so I have had it, actually got a chip in the windshield yesterday, trading it in so I am not worried about it, though I know my 15 is going get chipped up too :(

Yep, no way to prevent, but you can reduce with a Clear Bra on the front, and somebody makes a windshield protector as well. Check out Jay Leno on YouTube getting one of his cars done.

I decided to try out that drcolorchip as well. I picked up 4 chips on the first day driving her home from Baltimore where I bought it. Figured I'd try this out and get it repaired before the chips would get worse.... really worried about it color matching but I watched a ton of youtube videos and seems it's working for a lot of people.

luckily my rock chips are REALLY small...but my 75 year old grandmother saw the two on the hood as small as they were, granted the sun was BLARING on the car lol. I've felt sick since I washed it this past saturday for the first time and discovered these chips.

yeah worst of all I tried by best to avoid being behind cars and especially 18 wheelers on the way home...but through DC there were SO MANY 18 wheelers I was having to dodge constantly...I knew I wouldn't be able to get through unscathed!

Depends how good you want to touch it up, if it isnt entirely through the clear coat then wetsanding and leveling the clearcoat would be your best bet. You just apply touch-up clearcoat to the damaged region and sand it down. If you are too hesitant to do it, just use touch-up paint/clear coat and dont touch it. The most important part is protecting the area from exposure to induce future corrosion

+ 1 on Dr. Color Chip. Had a nice chip on the back side of my LR wheel well and I was pleased with the result. Easier to use than touch up paint.
how was the match. I see you have CO, so interested in your thoughts.

I have found that the color match on Dr. Color chip is really good and I have used it on 3 cars. The problem is that when you rub off the excess using their product, it sometimes removes the color you have applied to the chip. It sometimes takes 2 or 3 tries to do it.

For those who have used Dr. Color Chip... It shows Ebony Black for 2015 Mustang, but my window sticker says Raven Black.

Am I barking up the wrong tree here?
