I had a gift card so I went ahead thought when not it's been on the car for a couple thousand miles. It works fine no complaints. It's just as a good as a Mishimoto or any other stock location intercooler. Good luck with whatever you guys put on.

Do you have any logs for your charge air temps? I'm interested in how well it performs vs the CP-E or MAP intercoolers.

Sorry, I haven't done any logs. I can't imaging that it will not be as good as any of the other "direct fit" intercoolers. I look at it like store brand items, like Great Value yogurt. Wal Mart isn't making that. They are buying it from another yogurt company and putting another brand on it and it taste great. Same thing. Rev 9 isn't making it. A company that starts with an M made it and sold to Rev 9 who put their on brand on it. I was impressed with the quality and I'm sure when summer comes I will have less heat soak. No need to worry about the lower price. All these intercoolers have a huge mark up.

It was the intercooler only. It has the tabs on the side that slide into the brackets that hold the stock one. I used the stock clamps and switched the sensor over. I didn't need any additional hardware. I've had it on the car for about two weeks.

I do agree with most, that you get what you pay for.
In my 60+ years as a consumer I have found that you very seldom get what you pay for. You almost never get something that is twice as good when you pay twice as much but quite often can get something that is just as good or better for 1/2 the cost.

Personally I prefer to buy US made products becuase I want to support the US economy. But buying US does not necessarily mean you are getting a superior product as does it mean everything that comes from China is junk.

Got mine today. Seems well built to me.
If it doesn't perform to my needs (daily driver, occasional WOT), I'll sell it and buy a proper intercooler. Otherwise, if it does what I need I'll put the money I saved towards my tune.

I'm sure this rev9 IC is fine, and is probably the exact same IC as the MISHI, but I would PM CPE before you pull the trigger on the fried rice. I got my CPE for $350 when it first came out, I would assume they still have a similar deal if you ask them.

if they ever answer :headbonk:. i want the CPE to keep a stock look but for the price of bigger better performing IC like ETS its hard to compete. i wish i had my EB when that deal was around.

Clearly, I'm not bothered by using parts made in countries other than the USA.

Might as well do it right the first time and buy something that's been developed to remove heat efficiently pull after pull and fit close to stock. Chinese made parts look good, but are often lacking in R&D:(.

“That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.”

None of the naysayers have posted any proof that this intercooler is garbage or inferior to Mishimoto, CP-E, or MAP sock location intercoolers. It's literally nothing more than 'Don't trust Chinese stuff!'
There are a couple forum posters here with this intercooler posting saying it works great and the quality is good. There are other threads with people who use the Rev9 race style intercoolers with a good amount of success. By success, I mean charge temps are kept low enough for the car to not pull timing.

I have posted pictures of the intercooler in the hope that those more informed than I would be able to point to flaws or inadequacies. No such posts have been made. At some point when I have the ability to monitor CAT's, I will revisit this thread and post the results of WOT pulls in 3rd and 4th gear. But that will be awhile.
