I'm new to the s550' s I just bought a 2015 gt base model 6 spd. I had the mufflers removed but I still have the resonator. I'm saving up for borla ataks, will putting a x-pipe in cause a lose in power due to back pressure or will will the converters be enough? Anyone with any advise will help out or if you've done it let me know what you think. Thanks

Don't do it especially if you have no mufflers. The drone will be crazy and very raspy and crackly. I have Super 10's and deleted the res for one night...

Welcome to the forum jdawg!
An x-pipe with no mufflers is going to be god-awful loud. I can't imagine what that would sound like at cold-start. And with a manual, you are going to get ALOT of decel popping. Get your Borla ataks THEN put a x-pipe in.

Sitting still yes. But try to drive it without a splitting headache resulting... Those videos are hard to compare to real life driving.

I have notice a few people mention the lack of popping on deceleration as though it were a good thing. I'm not all about ridiculously loud exhausts and hate drone, but the off-throttle pops are just about my favorite part of my BBK Varitune mufflers. Do some people not like it? For my next exhaust, the popping sounds will be as important as the absence of drone.

I love the decel pop I get with the H pipe and Roush ABs.
