Hey guys. I just added sve x pipe on my 18. Im always looking for weight savings so i weighed some stuff. The resonator delete on 18s i have heard was 23lbs. When i weighed it i came up with 17lbs and sve x pipe was around 8lbs. So i saved 9lbs. Now once i cut exhaust to remove resonator i went ahead and took off the back exhaust pipe with muffler and tipes. One side weighed 30lbs. I starting thinking how about just for the track just take exhaust off from the x pipe. I started it up and it sounds mean. Dont get me wrong its loud but you shave 60lbs off the stang. You still running stock headers with stock cats through x pipe so should have plenty of back pressue even though you have all kinds of different opinions on that subject.

Many aftermarket axle backs are half the weight or less of the stock mufflers. It's a good option to save weight and retain some decent sound/volume.
