Hi everyone - I recently moved to California, which is a front license plate state. I don't want to install the permanent ford bracket on the front of my Shelby or the bracket on my BMW M4. Does anyone on this forum have experience with a removable front bracket that is good quality and won't damage the vehicle during installation/removal or driving?

Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks!

My car came with a sto and sho. (No holes in bumper. YES!) Great idea and works real nice.

Texas is a front plate state too. I refuse to use the sto and sho or any front plate. I may get a ticket every 10 yrs or so. Worth it.

Ohio had already passed the legislation to get rid of the front plate requirement when my car's first owner bought it. He put a Craig's mount on. When front plates were no longer required, I took off the front plate frame. However, the mounting is so hard to see except from ground level that I didn't even bother removing it. It is well-made and was solid when in use.

Save your money, install the ford bracket using 3m trim/badge double sided tape. no need for screws through the bumper cover. no need for an over priced fancy bracket either.

Not a bad idea.

I have a ZL1-Addons tow hook mount which doubles as a front plate mount when the tow hook isn’t needed.

How hard was the install of the hook?
(thread high jack in 3-2-1)

Difficulty is in the eye of the wrenchholder.

I didn’t think it was very hard.
