Yes it does, very well known in fact. Been mentioned in many magazine comparisons even.

I had a Roush 427R and it had heat soak issues. I installed a larger intercooler with dual electric fans to help reduce it. All positive displacement superchargers will expearance heat soak of some degree when operated at a constant rpm.

Really? and the m3/m4 has zero heatsoak issues? What was the ambient temps during testing? Almost any car will heatsoak on a hot day.

The Z06 was just pulled out of some COTY contest with Motor Trend or C&D due to heat issues and its SC setup. This is the 2nd or 3rd time it has happened in these magazine track tests. I think Team Chevy was even on site for the last run and tried to help prevent it and could not.

That's why if I go SC I'll either run a Kenne bell for the liquid cooling, or on a tt setup run a water meth injection

Not to start a war about this but I just googled z06 heat soak issue and was reading a few threads on various forums. Many z06 owners feel it is myth and not all that common (some even had heavy track use). I would link a few post here but this site doesn't allow that sort of thing.

There are tons of discussion on this topic already on this forum. There are tons of discussions on the corvette forum too about this issue.

A guy on this forum has a Z06 and tracks it regularly and has not had 1 issue. I think his name is Bossing?

Its not an epidemic per say, but it is still a known issue.

I'm pretty sure most PD superchargers have liquid to air heat exchangers these days.

yes I agree. Maybe I would equate this issue to the clunking of the Mt82 in the mustang? I never really payed much attention since I don't plan to drop 80k on a z06 anytime soon.

Z06 did not finish in Motor Trends Best Drivers Car shootout, it overheated. Kind of a crap shoot, some people have no issues, some people have lots.

Has anyone heard if these are available yet? You would think they would release some dyno video or something. If searched other forums and havent seen anything about anyone doing cams on an s550 yet.
