Actually it does show that the redline is available for both types of seats on the chart.
:D - So glad I happened to catch that and mentioned it. It seems that we're having more and more questions about this.

Just a thought, but possible that the seating surface AND stitching around the seats (the black parts) are red on the Recaros?

If the seats were red the stitching would get lost in a sea of color. Seems strange to mention the stitching in that case.

This is the last car with a red interior I sat in. It's about as good as you could get, just not my cup of tea.

If it was done like my photo above it would probably work.

Not a fan of the pictures you posted either. I like subtle red accents. The red in that interior is not my cup of tea either. Way overdone IMO.

Just looking at my photo above and thinking about it more... even though I'm a fan of more subtlety with the red accents, if only the stitching and Recaro logo were red, I think it might be a bit too understated. In that case I think the red door panel inserts would dominate too much.

I think the center area of the seats, including the inner perforated section of the bolster, in red along with red stitching on the outside edge would be pretty balanced looking.

Nothing fun yet
Why would the order guide explicitly say red stitcing for the Recaros if the entire seat covers were red?
Hadn't seen that before, but I still don't think it necessarily means that the seats are fully black except for the stitching. It just says that it includes red stitching. Red stitching is obviously included with the Redline package seen on page 1, which includes red seat covers too.

Yeah but it doesn't state that the premium seats are fully red anywhere that I've seen.

Presumably these are the stitches that would be red. I'd also like to see the the center perforated section in red. I would like that better than the entire surface being red like they are on the premium seats...
Agreed, that's what I'm hoping for too.

Seems even stranger to me to have subtle red stitching everywhere but then a sea of red on the door panels. It's not too strange to mention the stitching when it applies to the seats and the dash and the wheel and (maybe) the shifter.

You might be right. Time will tell. I hope scottpe and I are right though. Red door panels will look extremely out of place without some red leather in the seats, even if it's not the whole surface.

Just curious...has Ford been adding the red steering wheel these last couple of years? I remember seeing them when I test drove a 5.0 in 2011. Does anybody think Ford would add it again? I haven't seen one on any pre-production models.

Still too ambiguous to know exactly what "Red Line" means with ANY certainty at this point beyond the literal and what the OG explicitly states - "Contrast Stitching" (in Red).

Absolutely nothing seems to indicate the kind of full-on Red interior like the S197 401A Brick Red - which will be a HUGE factor in whether my '14 gets traded or the '15 becomes an outright addition. I AM beginning to wish more and more that I had ordered my '14 GT as a Convertible - and I may trade it for a like example if I keep a '14 stablemate - with the '15 being so much an improved driving machine. The last add/replace factor will be if the S550 can be as easily equipped with the Ford Racing superchargers. But I digress.

With the Beijing reveal being the only car to date to exhibit a Red interior, simply too little other information exists to presume it to be anything beyond a prototype interior or perhaps a regional offering (with red being hugely significant as a sign of good luck (among others) in Chinese culture).

Furthermore, expecting different (more limited) color choices for the Recaros would be natural. Yet Ford draws no distinction between Red Line implementation and seat type. I very much expect Red Line to be a fundamentally stitching and embroidery treatment to an otherwise-black interior. I'd wager any 2014 401A a Red-like interior (if forthcoming at all) will be a mid-year addition or not offered at all until subsequent model years.

I think reading anything into the Beijing pictures as a harbinger of the production car is sheer wishful thinking.

Actually there have been 2 cars seen now. Both being Magnetic with Red and Black Leather Interior. The Beijing car was equipped with the Performance Package. It had the Black Wheels, Center Gages, and Engine Turned Aluminum Dash trim. The second was the car seen in the 1st post of this thread.

Do we have pictures of the premier color accent package with Recaros and redline? Want to get an idea of what it would look like with deep impact blue. Also, do we know if the door panel red insert will be there if you order racaros? Would seem strange to have all the red stitching and then just red door panels.

Right now I would not believe anything until it's confirmed on Ford website or updated order guide.
