I would seriously doubt that dealer of yours saying it's red leather recaros. It would be easy for him to scan the order guide and assume that. You have to look a littler closer but the guide does state recaros come with red stitching with the red line option

It's confirmed!
Dealers information is rarely more than what is available to the general public. Your dealers confirmation means diddly poo until ford says something about it.

It seems pretty obvious from the order guide that the standard seats are full red leather and the recaros are just red stitching

If the recaros turn out to be red leather then I will definitely be ordering them.

We shall see :)
Given that the ONLY Redline characteristic the Order Guide happens to be explicit about is specifically contrast stitching on the Recaros, I'd question precisely whom your dealer consulted and how this person supposedly "confirmed" this fact - and I'd then want to know the same about whomever that person consulted until someone who's actually seen the seats is involved.

Furthermore, Red has always been the one premium primary interior color that wasn't available with Recaros whose only colors and materials have been charcoal cloth and black leather. Any additional color throughout the entire Mustang range has been as an accent only.

Contrast stitching seems to be a welcome way for Ford not to exclude Recaros from buyers who also otherwise prefer red interior trim. I suspect the standard buckets WILL be available in red akin to past years' 401A Brick Red & Cashmere option, though even that isn't absolutely certain. But given the way Ford traditionally writes order guides and has implemented Recaros, combined with many dealers' willingness to accept whatever they're told as gospel, I'd expect only contrast stitching if I were you and be pleasantly surprised if they're different upon delivery.

Of course, you always can see just how "certain" your dealer is by asking if they'd be willing to eat the cost of the Recaros if contrast stitching is all they include. I'd be willing to bet your dealer would start working the phones again before committing.

I will be surprised if the recaros are red. The order guide only says red stitching.
Yes the order guide does clearly say red stitching. But, maybe because the black Recaros have white stitching standard and white stitching w red seats would look bad.

For the record, I paid an extra an extra 395 to get red leather. Normal premium seats that were posted earlier.

I hope the Recaro's + Redline/68B don't get the red door panel...

Yeah, seeing as it appears the only red on the Recaros will be stitching, it seems that it would be more appropriate to do just red stitching on the door panels as well, otherwise it may look a bit unbalanced. But of course then the whole theme might be a little too understated for some.

I really think Ford should have at least done some red accents on the seat surfaces of the Recaros.

Update this morning from Tricia;
I have an update on your Red Line interior inquiry. The Build and Price website is currently listed under “future vehicles."

Once the site transitions through the model year changeover it will include all of the interior choices. There is not an ETA at this time.

Have a nice day!
