I called my Ford dealer to see what their prices were for the rear spring isolators. To my surprise, they said that not only are some not available, but it looked like they have been discontinued! Has anyone else ran into issues finding them? Since I have MagneRide, I have different isolators on the left than standard mustangs. Here are the part numbers I called about:
Upper Left - FR3Z-5586-C (2 available)
Upper Right - FR3Z-5586-B (unavailable)
Lower Left - E1GZ-8321-A (1 available)
Lower Right - FR3Z-8321-A (39 available)
A few online stores have some of the lowers in stock, and there are a couple of the lower lefts on eBay. But the uppers are even harder to find, especially the upper left! (my dealer wants full MSRP for them)
Has anyone else heard about the isolators being discontinued? Or it is just a horrible supply problem right now? I can't see how they could be discontinued, especially since they are in use on so many recent vehicles and are a common wear part. Mine were worn through after less than 25k, so I'm hoping the next set will last at least another 25k.
