Hey folks, does anyone know of rear springs that are linear that are in the 1100lb/in range? I suppose my internet search skills are not up to par haha.

I'm looking to try a stiffer rear setup for my drag application.

Moog has several 4" diameter springs in the 1000 to 1500 lb range. Not sure what diameter a S550 spring is.

I'm really looking for a drop in spring. I'd like to think there are some road race units out there?

The BMR SP083 rear spring is rated at 980lb/in. That’s the stiffest rear spring I’ve seen mentioned on here.

I have those now. Looking for a higher rate.

This is likely the simplest way for you to be able to swap springs and have a big assortment of springs from 700-1300 in/lb that are widely available.
My car with Eibach 1,000 in/lb springs on my car.

I'm surprised nobody makes a stiffer drop in spring. I may have to go this route if I can't find something.

Steeda Dual Rates are higher (1200#). Not strictly a linear (but also not a progressive). When you launch, you'll be immediately in the stiff rate as the suspension compresses, so in that application they'll act like a linear. (3/4" drop FWIW).

That's exactly why I'm running them. They are simply the stiffest rates you can find with a stock drop in design.

The stiff rate is also why you won't find any linear springs that high. Geometrically it doesn't work out. Under droop, with rates that high, a stiff spring with normal length would come dislodged without some sort of tender spring in there. That's what the softer part of the dual rate is doing, its acting as a tender spring to let the spring rebound to a long enough length to keep it seated properly.

I could be wrong, but that's my understanding.

Have you also tried zeroing out your camber? It would lessen your need to reduce squat and you'd have to reduce it anyway once you get the gains that come with a lowering spring. BMR and others make a longer arm to make this possible if you run out of adjustment.
