Yea I got this far. Mine has the gap filled it's just not aligned with the fender. Bumper sticks a little further out and does line up flush to the fender.
Can you post a pic ? I think i finally fixed the gap at the back where the quarter meets the bumper.

Your's is sticking out some, have you tried pushing it in a tad to see if it would maybe engage.
Maybe the tabs aren't properly fastened.
If all else fails, try removing the screw sitting vertically on the inside of the wheel well and see if you can wiggle the bumper cover to sit properly and retighten making sure to replace OEM screw with a bigger one, unless yours is not stripped but maybe just not tighten properly.
Let me know how it goes.

Yea I tried that out and all the clips are fastened correctly into place. I couldn't find any other areas where I could adjust. Only other thing I'm thinking is maybe the fender is the problem

My front was misaligned by about an 1/8 or 1/16th low on one side by the headlight and I just pushed it up and it went right into place where it should be. It was a very easy fix...maybe I got lucky.

Is this misalignment happened with older shelbys/mustangs?
I mean we are in 2016. You would think FORD would learn from past misyakes?

Oh well, i'll go through the rear wheel well and remove liner tomorrow and see if it's held in place like the front is.

The problem i have found where the front fender meets the bumper cover was a screw that was not proprely tighten. Took me all of 2 minutes to fix once the wheel well liner was removed.

Pisses me off to have to do this but i'd rather do the work myself. The less i see the dealership the better i'll sleep.
The last sentence in your response is dead on target!

Did you pull the wheel well plastic shield ? That is step #1.

Once that is out of the way, look inside the wheel well on the right where the fender meets the bumper, there is an attachment block that holds the fender and bumper together. Just above it you'll see a single screw sitting vertically.

It is a bit hard to get to it, but i was able to get s small wratchet and remove it since it was stripped and i replaced it with a bigger one and re-tighten it and that fixed the gap.
Can you post pictures with the fixed gap?

Thank you!

I have the same problem and the dealer could not really get it any better. I will make my one and only attempt to fix it. I will take the bumper off this weekend and play with the brackets which all have about 1/8 to 1/4 inch of play. I think that if the brackets are adjusted properly all the clips should latch and function as intended.

Ford's qc standards must be real loose on panel fitment. I can't see how this stuff would pass the typical gauges and templates you see used in many auto factories.

Hello Jim,

Well, my DIY fix didn't last that long unfortunately, as some others have mentionned the sagging issue is due to the bumper weight and design flaw.

The tabs that hold the two pieces together are not big enough or are already broken when installed by factory employees.

So what i tried to do is bring both the fender and bumper together in order to get a very tight fit, i then put a screw through the retaining plastic tab in order to prevent the bumper from backing out and used some epoxy glue to hold everything together.

That lasted a while, but overtime gravity did it's thing by enlarging the gap some, but not as bad as before.

Hope everything gets sorted out for you Jim, let me know what your plan is, and we'll try to work something out.

PM me with more info if need be.

Dan

Attempting to push this back together doesn't seem to work, unless there is some magic direction I'm missing. What next?
