Question for you all. Over time has your S550 developed any rattles? At 1000 miles I now have one around the lower steering column. I hate rattles, but the S550 sure has less of them than my old 95 SVT Cobra.

13,500 on mine.

It's rattled since 500 miles. I've been chasing them down and it's a pain in the ass.

SERIOUSLY unimpressed with Ford's interior QC!

I have had a huge amount of rattles from the dash and the back. Only really rattles on really bad roads. The drone from my exhaust plus no back seat caused a lot of thing to rattle in the back as well. I added quite a bit of foam to the dash which solved the problem.

I would suggest adding foam to the problem areas yourself and see what you can do. If you take that route you will see why so many rattles develop. It is not a QC issue it is a design issue though not just in the Mustang. There are so many pieces of plastic touching each other and plastic touching the frame of the car. Most of the plastic is held to each other by cheap clips with very little padding and no padding in most areas.

I guess my current one rattle is not that big of a deal, yet.

I have a rattle that developed around the passenger side near the trim any time the AC was running. The rattle also appears if the road is bumpy.

Mine seems to show up on rough surfaced, course, roads.

Mine was good until about 6k my passenger side door panel rattles. Going to bring it to ford to fix.

Other than that only my A Pillar gauge pod rattles every once in awhile, but I cant blame Ford for that one.

It's funny, my rattle has mysteriously disappeared, for now. :-)

I have a ton up near the windshield and dash. Goes away during the summer due to the heat. Come winter it sounds like a 10 year old car.

Now that's a good point, that as the heat expands the plastic things tighten up.
