Any help is appreciated trying to figure out where this wire went and if this wrapping and fuzz is off the car to when turning on car says pre collision assist not working and service advance track. Sucks they got into my brother truck a week ago and I put out bait and stuff to late I guess. car sits under a cover for a week while at work then uncover it and cruise for The Weeknd’s bummed out for sure.

Sorry to hear this happened. It happend to me a couple of years ago. The little rodents made a nest on the top of my intake manifold and ate thru a fuel injector wire. I splice a new wire into the harness ( I build electrical harnesses for missile and aircraft engines for a living, so this was not a problem for me to do.). I now take a little used kitty litter and place it on the garage floor around my car, and at the corners of the main garage door and side door. Haven't had an issue with mice or rats since.

Those wires are a "twisted pair" and as such means they are data wires. Obviously something that contributes to the traction control system. Could be ABS related, speed sensor, something from the transmission, etc hard to say exactly what. Just take care when repairing them. I'd use a couple of uninsulated crimp barrell conectors and cover them with marine grade shrink tubing with sealant/adheasive inside. If they won't go back in the harness easily get some small split loom or some dedicated wiring harness tape. Don't use normal plastic electrical tape.

If you can locate a friend that has a bit of electronics expertise he/she may be able to solder the wires back together, and as @ORRadtech stated, use marine grade heat-shrink tubing with the sealant inside. I've had better luck personally with soldering than barrel connectors, but regardless, with the system the wires support, you'd want a trouble-free repair.

If anyone has to deal with this wire for future reference this goes to the front right wheel speed sensor so it tripped out the abs and what not. I ended up calling the insurance and they covered it wasn’t to bad of a fix couple hours at the dealer they spliced and did a wire kit would been about 280 out of pocket if paying. I’ve been throwing green cubes around in stations and using peppermint spray around the engine so far they havnt came back hopefully they just move on I rather not go on a killing spree but mess my stuff up got no other choice ha ha.

Rats are pretty intelligent also. When their friends start disappearing, sometimes they'll move along. My father in law had a big hedge in his front yard years ago, full of rats. He killed a few with rat traps and within a few weeks they'd moved.

@RazzaRossa yea there nasty little guys for sure. I shoved old school bounce dryer sheets all in the engine bay and setup a motion camrea under the car to see and they seem to hate it they run away as soon as they get close on a plus side I think they may have died off or left the last three nights they havnt been around. I think the dryer sheets only work if you keep them fresh and swap it often cause just walking by the car it smells like a laundry machine better than chewed wires I guess.
