My buddy just installed their Race series cat-back, and it rasps like CRAZY!

I was hoping to go with MBRP to save some money, but hearing the rasp made me reconsider.

Im thinking of what way I can scam the after cat section of the race for my street muffs. It'd be a bolt on to swap out the after H-Pipe section...hmmmm

We for sure have a different meaning of Rasp. Because I have heard mine and another Mustang with MBRP Race Series and they both sound like ....

Do you have a pic from underneath with the new mufflers?

Not really sure why the lights do that. Maybe the Iphone 6s Plus having issues OR the Roush blower putting stress on the lighting system.
Led Lights appear that way on on recordings alot. LED's are being driven by a switching power supply that sends pulses of voltage to light up the LED's, the pulses are fast enough that the human eye can't detect them, but are visible to recording devices.

Thank you Magnaflow!! :headband: Bought the MBRP Street Catback and that was a mistake. It was not loud did not drone. But Jesus Christ the rasp was embarrassing!! It sounded like one of those old steel trash cans being beaten with a metal spoon when I got on the throttle. God awful. So I got Magnaflow involved and they saved the day. Cut out the MBRP mufflers and installed 2 Magnaflow mufflers (Part #12229 $169 for both shipped to my door) and sounds deep and no rasp. Again thank you Magnaflow.
You are quite welcome, Doc. We're very happy to hear that our mufflers are giving you exactly what you wanted!

Why I even think about other exhaust systems tells me I am a hard head. I always end up with Magnaflow. :headbang:

I'm loving my MF COMP cat back and have no regrets. Deep but not to loud. Put's the kids to sleep and wife and I can still have a nice conversation without screaming.

I would be interested in hearing this setup with longtubes. My Borla's make a sound around 2500-3500 rpms that drives me insane and scares unsuspecting pedestrians. I'm ok with being loud and proud but it just sounds bad.

I have cats. And the exhaust is very quiet for straight through mufflers. So, with long tubes it should be no more or no less perfect.

Did the shop that installed the mufflers have to bend any new pipes to install the magnaflows or did they just cut out the MBRP muffler and weld up the magnaflows?

They cut and welded. Simple. 35 mins. in and out of shop. :)
