The CFTP wing does look cool. It's very RACECAR but maybe that's OK because it's factory equipment.

I like to disassemble things.
Does the CFTP wing not use the same mounting holes/style as the R? It looks like it would be darn close. Worth investigating anyway.
The R wing and the CFTP wing use the exact same hole layout on the decklid (as well as the same dogbones). In other words, you could swap one for the other with some wrenching in very short order.

I'm not mentally prepared. :cwl: Side discussion, how's that one company doing that was going to create one for 1/5 of the price? Would it have used the same mounting area including the dogbones?

Probably as good as always goes when an aftermarket company tries to create an OEM quality part for 1/5 the price.

Poser? No. Not unless you put red badges all over it and told people it was an R, lol
Even then it cracks me up how offended people get by this. šŸ˜‚

I vastly prefer the GT350R rear spoiler to the standard GT350 one. Would I be a poser if I installed an R spoiler on my GT350? (I know it would require filling and painting the trunk lid.)

Also here's the GT500 CFTP spoiler for reference:

Do it bro at the end of the day this is your baby. Iā€™m doing the same with my 5.0 piece piece and started with GT350 front end and bolt-one. Treat yo self

We are a community. I think all in the community respect that deference. So eh, whatever.

That is generally true - that in life, people who falsely make something appear as something it's not, are lame.

How about a GT350 with red badge overlays up front and a GT500 decklid cover in the back? First person I've seen that actually bought one of the CFTP wings too.

Started off with an interesting AOA...

An ABS Frisbee, especially set at that angle.

OK so back to Topic. You do whatever you want to your car. Unless you are trying to misrepresent the car as an R, no one should care. But if I may add, this will not make the car go faster. If its for looks, OK. But it wont perform better and in fact, may hurt performance. Not that the average driver would notice anyway

Unless you are looking specifically for low quality reproductions of the high quality part that is actually produced in China and not here in the USA.
I thought that the OEM CF parts on the GT350R are not made in the USA. The wheels are from an Australian company and the wing from a Canadian company? I thought I read that somewhere. Could be wrong though.

Back on topic with some humor.

I had a 1970 Formula 400 back in 1980, a buddy of mine had a 1972 Cutlass 4-door. He asked me to help him attach a second chrome exhaust tip to make it look like he had dual exhaust. We cut a 2X4 and wired it to his frame with the chrome tip attached... he was happy for a little while.
He then grew tired of his 4-door sedan, and wanted the 2-door look. This was LONG before 4-door hot-rods existed.
He asked me to help him Bondo the rear door gaps..................... I declined.
This was posing that was going way too far.

OP............. putting on a "R" spoiler is NOTHING compared to hiding the rear doors of a 4-door Cutlass.
Enjoy your "R" spoiler on your great Shelby GT350.

Oh... just thought of something.
My friend with the Cutlass was Asian... ?????????????
I don't, but why do some of the younger folks feel awkward?

The OEM GT350R wing is made in Canada by Multimatic. The OEM CFTP wing is made in China by Action Composites.

A sticker from an OEM CFTP wing...
