Did everyone have to pour ATF into the reservoir of the Hydraulic power unit with control system?
They don't come filled with fluid. You will need to fill and bleed the system as per the instructions. I used ATF.

I used ATF, but if you are in a hot climate, I would use something thicker like the AW fluid. The ATF is fairly thin and has a tendency to weep out a little bit. I'm too lazy to change mine though, so for now ATF is the order of the day.

Oh and if you don't want to buy now, or want to buy something else from Bend-Pak/Ranger/QJ they have a scratch/dent/refurb store on ebay (Sometimes).

That being said, I just emailed a contact there (Robert) every once in a while. I did that looking for a good deal on the 7000 unit. But like I said they have some of their other equipment for sale as well. If you're in the SoCal area, they're out in the valley by thousand oaks I think.

rlad0sky at bendpak dot c0m (Obviously fix the zeroes into the letter "o", don't want the poor guy to get spammed)

Jacking rails are on order but bmr is dragging their feet
J&M just shipped mine today. I think their as nice if not nicer than the BMR’s. Order direct no tax and use mustang 6g for 5% off. Cheaper than standard rails more than the lowprofile.... bout $180

note: BMR doesnt make em for convertibles so wasn’t an option

I use the short rubber blocks that came with it, but lift on the jacking rails. Fits perfectly and it's really stable.
the idea is that the rails may eventually split rubber block. No fun if your under your car

I understand that. However with jacking rails, you cannot use the blocks on the pinch welds. The blocks are in no danger of splitting. If I had a picture, it would probably explain it better.

I don’t have a Quickjack but it seems to me it begs for the use of jack pads/pucks. Either permanently installed or magnetic.

Rails seem like they’re overkill...

So is 700HP but who doesn’t want a supercharger.

in seriousness though alot of people don’t even jack pads. The do OK. For me it’s a question of safety. Jacking rails just seem the stablest option. If tour gonna overkill in any area why not choose safety?

Yes it does. But overkill is under rated. Jacking rails are usually under $200. Well worth the piece of mind if you have ever messed up a pinch weld or worse.
