Lol this guy was well over 140 pounds and standing on it in the store. Wish I recorded it. Thing wasn’t budging. I imagine Costco employee haphazardly put it together anyways.
I wonder if they had the controller powered and attached to the lift with the down button pressed.

It comes with rubber blocks of different height. The manual says to NOT lift a vehicle without blocks. That's probably to reduce chance of a vehicle sliding with metal to metal contact. Also eliminates scratches on either. I don't leave the blocks on the Quickjack since I park over it. I only add the blocks after positioning the QuickJack for use.
He was asking about these https://www.quickjack.com/accessories/pinch-weld-blocks/

Food for thought: those might damage the side skirts and be hard to position if they weren't used where there are large enough cutouts in the skirts. Are there such cutouts at both the front and rear lift points of the Quickjack?
Do you read posts in this thread at all ? ;-)
Yes, they will which is why I sold them and wrote about it few posts above. Someone else posted round pucks also sold by Quickjack and those probably would work.

I personally used ZL1 Addons jack pads installed permanently on pinch welds and short blocks. Pinch welds are not a concern - rubber blocks splitting in half from the pinch welds are.

ZL1 add ons make some mustang pinch weld adapters that i’ve read work well. Their expensive tho so if those patato ones from amazon work well cheaper option.

if your investing in quick jacks get yourself some jacking rails

For those who have it. Are you buying the blocks to go on the pinch welds?
I've had mine for over a year now. I made wood blocks with a 2x4 and it works great for my GT (Not sure about convertibles or cobras). Just make sure the part that touches the pinch welds are perpendicular to the wood grain.

I actually have several different sets of blocks for each of my cars.

That being said, I wish I got the 7000 series. My Ram truck is 5500#. I'm sure it's safe, but I still end up getting out jackstands just in case. QJ has a video showing it holding way over 5000 pounds.

I'm a fat pretty wimpy guy, so take it as you will, but they are far heavier than they look, especially maneuvering them around. But, they are very nice.

Do you 5000s have any issue lifting your ram? My raptor weights about the same.

Haven't tried it yet to be honest. I bought it used from a guy who said he lifted his expedition with no problems.

Truth be told, my Ram is so high (Big horn package) that I probably don't need to use it. I think I would need it to drop a tranny though.

I will say it lifts my 4400# minivan with no problems at all. That being said, if you haven't picked one up, I would go with the 7000# one, even though it is even heavier. When I went to buy the QJ, I drove 3 hours to the guys house and he had it advertised as a QJ7000. So after some complaining about waste of my time and bartering, I ended up with the 5000.

For y'all buying it, I think they ship empty new, so get yourself some ATF or Jack oil. The manual lists the right fluid.

Nice truck BTW, those Raptors are awesome. I even dig the name. If they were a Dodge, they'd have a little dinosaur raptor on the side like the Scat Packs have :)

I use the short rubber blocks that came with it, but lift on the jacking rails. Fits perfectly and it's really stable.

QJ convinced me to buy those, https://www.quickjack.com/pinch-weld-blocks/. Now with your knowledge, I'm trying to get them returned while in transit.

Are these the ones everyone is recommending? I imagine you'd use the short block and these pinch groves together?

Those QJ pinch weld rubber blocs seem like will work by themselves in the pinch welds, according to their video.

those amazon ones along with the smaller (non pinch weld) rubber blocks from QJ are what I use on my Shelby.

Did everyone have to pour ATF into the reservoir of the Hydraulic power unit with control system?
