Nothing else is needed if you get the full Whipple kit with Flare. You email them the info from your car and they build and email you back a tune and you're good to go, aside from install. The grenading engines are iffy, but in actuality, not many people can even verify that outside of high HP vehicles. The OPG and TS seem to just be safeguards for future additions of HP. So you CAN do it, or you can bypass it for now until you feel the need for more.I forgot to ask in the last post but what other parts/work is needed other than what's in the $7395 kit?
Ive read about engine "grenades". And like I initially said...above all any add on needs to be healthy for the car.
Thanks

Got it....kinda. I've seen a square hole punched through some part of an S550's engine. Not sure of the specifics though. Also not sure what OPG and TS means but I can Google it later.Nothing else is needed if you get the full Whipple kit with Flare. OPG = Oil Pump Gear and TS = Timing Sprocket. There's been a lot of debate over them, but most of the vendors and tuners here agree that they aren't necessary with the basic kits. Once you upgrade from those kits, then it's a good idea.Got it....kinda. I've seen a square hole punched through some part of an S550's engine. Not sure of the specifics though. I see you didnt get the Performance Package. Initially I never considered SC. But do most people that go the SC route go non-PP? I will say that during the test drive I absolutely loved those Brembos! !

So the 3.55 gearing is preferred for some reason with SC over the 3.73?OPG = Oil Pump Gear and TS = Timing Sprocket. You are correct. I already had a plan in my head when I got my car and few of my cars have stayed stock. I don't see the point in getting the top trim when I end up replacing most of the stock stuff, anyway. The Brembos are my only regret, but I can get the kit for the front from CJPP for under 1300. It'll be well worth it when I get to that point. I much prefer cloth over leather, as I'm a big guy that's pretty hairy and sweats constantly. I could go on and on, but everything is the way I wanted so that's what matters![]()
It's your preference. I wanted 3.31 over the others. Most PPs seem to be going to the 3.31 nowadaysSo the 3.55 gearing is preferred for some reason with SC over the 3.73?
