Looking to buy a kit in the next two weeks. Was looking at Roush Phase 2 but a few posts in different threads mentioned to stay away with a gen 3 coyote without really mentioning why. Can anyone shed light on this? Other alternatives I looked at were Edelbrock, Procharger, and On3 single turbo kit. Not really looking to go past $7,500 and if I can stay under that I will. Mainly looking for a bit more power for daily driving fun and sometimes the strip. Also, if anyone knows a performance shop in or near Seattle that would be amazing. Thanks for your time!

P1x stage 2 from Beefcake and be done with it. If you want more after it's installed, call PBD for a custom tune.

If you're going aftermarket tuner, then maybe the Roush kit is a reasonable option to consider. If you're going Roush tune, I'd stay away if you're anywhere that temperatures get and/or stay hot for long periods of time. The nanny features in the Roush/Ford tune yank timing and it does NOT do very well in hot climates. I've literally seen a Roushcharged car that traps slower than an N/A coyote because the IAT's climb so fast and the tune pulls timing.

If you're wanting best value, it's tough to beat On3 (but just know you may need some custom installation) and on the supercharger side it's hard to beat the value of a procharger.

The Roush Kit initially had some heat soak issues due to the old blower design coupled with smaller heat exchangers. I believe they made some adjustments along the way and heat isn't a big problem anymore. The inlet is also limited in size, which can limit potential. But it doesn't sound like you're building a race car, so it wouldn't matter. There are more advanced kits out there like Edelbrock and Whipple that handle the heat much better. And have more room to grow. But for your goals, I think you'd be happy with any of the mentioned kits. I would add Whipple to your list as well. Stage 1 would fit your budget. You just need to decide if you want a PD or Centri now. As far as the turbo goes, I think that's a little more involving.

Washington so it rarely gets hot here. Summer time nets some higher temps but not much

The whipple kit comes with everything as well. You really have to decide what your long term goals are. If you want to bolt on a kit once and never touch it again, the roush phase 2 will give you a long-term reliable platform. If you want a set up that can grow then procharger or whipple is good choice. You have decide whether you want instant power of the whipple or the top end go of the procharger. Turbo realistically cant ve done in your budget. Dont underestimate the cost of installation. Can be 1200 to 1600 for roush and similar for whipple. Procharger is easier to do a DIY

All the superchargers are available as a complete kit including tune.

I would say the edlebrock kit should only be considered with a custom tune, there is not much in the way of success stories with their tune

Alright, I appreciate it! I think I will go Roush Phase 2 then. I just want more power but also plan on using the Phase 2 for the next couple years. After which when I get near 80-100K miles plan on going bigger but as I am sitting on 2.8K miles after almost a year of ownership I will have time to think about a bigger build. The phase 2 is more than enough for what I plan on doing. Thanks for the information! Going to do some more digging on the Phase 2 but I'm sure that is my choice in two weeks.

Alright, I appreciate it! I think I will go Roush Phase 2 then. I just want more power but also plan on using the Phase 2 for the next couple years. Beefcake and lethal can give you a killer deal. If you think you will reving it hard, its not a bad idea to get opg and cs. Plenty of guys do just fine with out them, if you need professional installation its almost as much as the supercharger so doing both can be expensive. Replacing a motor is more expensive so just be conscious of your limits if you skip them

I plan on using Beefcake. Everyone mentions to call him. Also, opg and cs? I'm trying look them up to no success.

Oil pump gears and crank sprocket. Since your car is brand new I wouldn't do it yet because if you're getting the roush blower you can have it with a warranty, however once the warranty is up I would replace them.

I found the acronyms as soon as I posted. I'm going to plan ahead and just order them after i get the Roush and have them installed when I recover from the supercharger purchase and install just to be safe. i don't plan on going balls to the wall often as I rarely redline as it is now. Every once in a blue moon to get rid of carbon deposits.
