Question on Frame damage

I wonder how bad does something like this effect the alignment if not fixed perfect?
Well, most of the suspension articulation is determined by the lower control arms and trailing arms. As long as the shock is still centered on the original bolt holes, the only thing that may differ is the top may lean slightly outward more than it did. I would definitely recommend getting an alignment afterward. It might even be worthwhile to beef up the other side, so that they match.

I honestly think I could fix that myself without welding anything. The process would require two pieces of 1/4" steel plate. I would put one on the inside and one on the outside, then bolt them together with 4 bolts, sandwiching the original body of the car between them. Once that was in place, you could tack weld them or just leave them as is, then bolt the shock mount to them with bolts that run all the way through both metal plates. It may not be the most elegant fix in the world, but it would be stronger than the stock setup.

(Of course, welding it would only make it stronger.)
Thats actually a response I was looking for. Making a kind of reinforcement for it so it would hold up to the bump and pressure being put on it.

But yea also to say about how the alignment on it. Nothing seems off when I drove it back after hearing the pop go off and surprisingly I thought the car would handle worse. But nothing seems off about my rear end. Like it still rides smooth and even when hitting a bump it didn't feel off.

I have to wait till the 29th of this month before they can even get me in a body shop. But yea So far I did look at everything else below to make sure the wheel itself was good and each seems to be intact, but I'm not a full-on mechanic so not sure, but nothing looked outa of place or misplaced.

Oh yea I will be having the other side check and beefed up. I might even just replace the entire suspension with ford performance pack suspension and ford stock mount instead to prevent this from happening again.

Update,

I was able to get this fixed! Ford actually fixed it for me by just welding in a wrecked mustang 2017 panel that matched it. The work looks amazing for what they did and only cost me about 700 to fix which is amazing at that price. Didn't take that whole piece off.

I'd pull the other side upper mount and check it over and get it fixed, welded before it all out fails like the side you had fixed.
