it has an engine!
Your car does not have a Frame!

It's a unibody with sheet metal parts that are welded together to form a uni-structure. Stretching holes in side members or bending subframes is common during improper tow using chains and hooks.

Depending on what piece it is it can be drilled out, removed and replaced easily. I STRONGLY recommend filing a claim with your insurance company so you can be sure the repairs are done correctly per Fords specifications and let them subrogate against the tow company.

I will need to see pics to give you more detail but I am an expert in this field and would be happy to help.

Oh and a proper tow would be with straps over the tires No Chains....
good to know. thank you.

Exactly what I assumed it would look like. Depends if those parts are sold separately. Sometimes they are not and per Ford that would make it a total loss. If they are for sale they can be removed and replaced. That can be a very involved process just depends on exactly where they are located in the car and how they are installed.

Food for thought... Not sure what state you are in but there is a nationwide company called Carmax and their contracts with their car haulers stipulates if they cause the damage that was caused to your car the hauler is responsible to pay for the car. Just to give you an idea of how the industry looks at this kind of poor tow quality.

This won't hurt your car and technically could be looked at as cosmetic damage but it's on a structural part so it should be fixed and by fixed I mean the piece should be replaced not repaired. The metal is too stretched to be straightened and this is not something you half ass and scab in a patch panel.

File a claim with your insurance company, go to a Ford dealer that has a body shop on site not one who farms out the work and insist they replace the rail not repair it. Then sue the Tow Company for Diminished Value because there's a 99% chance it's the car will be worth less after the repair. How much less is the million dollar question.

That makes me sick. Could you describe the proper procedure for towing and getting the car onto the flatbed? If not here pm it to me if you wouldn't mind. Id greatly appreciate it.

The rail ends can easily be taken care of. I've seen this a bunch due to improper towing. The car won't be considered a total due to that damage, I can assure you of this. Well at least in Florida. I'm pretty sure those are sold separately, at least they were on the S197s, the body shops I deal with complete these type of repairs every day...find a solid shop and you will be fine and remember the dealers aren't always the best option. A good example of a shop that can repair it would be Dayas custom auto of course they are in Fl, but it gives you an idea.Find a shop like them and you will be fine.
