Was able to finally complete my CB005 kit install today, this time it took me less than 20 minutes to finish both sides. Also notice there is no gap between the frame & bracket mounting point; hence no need for washer(s) or shim(s). I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

My question is how many miles to settle the new suspension before I get an alignment? Assuming it would not be any different from any other lowering kit but I just want to make sure.

The front currently sits @ 27" with the rear sitting @ 28.5". I also have MM Caster / camber plates installed so the drop may be more after the springs settle. Easily raised back up probably 1/8" when the CC plates are finally adjusted properly.

Again, loving this set up...took the car to Angeles Forest this afternoon & the car handles like a go kart on roids now. Excellent work!

Nice!!!

Yeah, the issues that have been posted are extremely rare. One of them was a simple mistake made by one of our welders....and the other 2-3 I have heard about are just tolerance differences. Very typical.

As for you suspension settling, I usually tell my customers to put about 100 miles on the car then have it aligned.

Let me know if you have any questions, and enjoy!

So this kit needs an alignment? (Rear?)

This is two down on my list of mods (new shifter is beating you out slightly), so want to know what to plan for.

Kelly can correct me if I'm wrong, but an alignment is just suggested. I have these, along with bmr's vertical links and diff lockout kit. And just did a half shafts swap, according to my ford tech an alignment isn't needed with all of those mods because nothing that adjust camber etc was unbolted or changed in any way. I've put about 1500 miles on since my cb005 kit with no abnormal tire wear. I am gonna take it in for one now since I did the axles just for peace of mind

If your cradle was centered from the factory then you will not need an alignment. But if you had to center it during the kit's install then you will need an alignment.

How is the wheel hop situation? Did this cure it?

I've got the bmr cradle lock out, differential lock outs, and vertical links, along with frpp half shafts. If I do have any wheel hop it is very very minimal!

Haven't really done any drag race type launches yet, only a few hard ones on the stock PP suspension. Had some tire slippage & chatter but nothing earth shattering. With this kit installed, the chatter & slippage is gone. This car will be prepped primarily for handling on a road course; unlike my previous 2 GTs that was prepped for track use.
