I know there are several different answers depending on tire, transmission, etc. but I'm wondering specifically for automatics on street tires without high stall converters.
My dad and I want do some 1/4 mile runes and are wondering what are the limits are for stock half shafts. He's running P Zero all seasons (275's on rear) with just a JLT + Lund + E85, and I'm running Continental DW's (285's on rear) with JLT + Lund + E85 + Catless LT's.
I think we're fine, as you can't really launch the autos with a stock converter, but I'd hate to break something on a daily driver that gets us to work. I've heard leave it at idle and punch it on the 2nd light, we should be good right?

Thanks for the info guys! I thought that'd be the case at our power level, on street tires, without high stall converters; I just wanted to make sure
