On my wife's Prius, if you press the start button without your foot on the brake the car will turn on without starting.
Edit: eville beat me to it
I believe Ford has hidden keyholes under the steering wheel in the instance where the keyfob dies (so the car cant recognize it). the actual key is hidden behind a piece of plastic in the keyfob. It is like a Power Button, Push it without your foot on the Brake and it turns on the Electrics like switching to the ACC position on an ignition switch. Apply the Brakes and Push the Button to Start the Engine. There is No Key to start the car and No Key Holes anywhere on the car. It's Completely Keyless. As for the Toggles, Only Premium Eco-Boost and GT's get the Toggles.
I read in the manual that there is a section under the steering wheel to put in the keyfob if it dies. There will also still be a key in the fob and holes on the door behind some plastic.I believe Ford has hidden keyholes under the steering wheel in the instance where the keyfob dies (so the car cant recognize it). the actual key is hidden behind a piece of plastic in the keyfob.

How about the gauges ...same in base as premium? It is like a Power Button, Push it without your foot on the Brake and it turns on the Electrics like switching to the ACC position on an ignition switch. Is there no keyhole anywhere? I would have thought there would at least be a hidden key hole for just that reason.Question: Can the trunk be opened by pushing the button even if the car batter is dead? On my 2011 it can't, unless you pull down the back seats and go crawling around through the pass-through. This means that I have to keep my jumper cables in the passenger compartment at all times in case the battery dies, which is pretty stupid, to be honest.
I don't believe you can unless otherwise noted, don't see a key slot in the rear. I worked on my newer pathfinder one time without opening the trunk before disconnecting the battery and I couldn't open the trunk either. My fusion has a key slot in the rear but also has a push button inside next to the steering wheel. Maybe they'll incorporate something like that.Question: Can the trunk be opened by pushing the button even if the car batter is dead? How often does your battery die.. on a new car..? How hard is it to pull down the backseat..?Question: Can the trunk be opened by pushing the button even if the car batter is dead?
