You know, it doesn't really matter what they claim the horsepower of the GT will be, as long as it runs 11s in the 1/4 ;)
In terms of the Hellcat which will be $70k..strap a Roush on a base Gt and run 10.80s at 129 for $40k..:amen:
These comparisons really helped me to see the positive difference between the '14 and '15 front fascia.
The '15 looks so mush sleeker.
I can now get he fusion out of my head:headbonk:
Thanks
I have been reading about how the front of the new mustang looks like the new fusion and I have always ignored that comment until today.
I stopped at a ford dealer and looked at the fusion and compared it to a photo I had of the '15.
It looked very similar. I'm not sure if I like that. I was...
My stock with a tune and drag radials 2011 base gt automatic ran 11.80s @117 in good air. That equates to under a 4 second 0-60.
I am confident that a similar set up with a '15 base gt auto w/3.55s will do even better as long as the irs stays together at the launch.
We need to be optimistic...
Horsepower Numbers
I recently sold my 2011 Mustang GT base automatic that ran 11.80s @ 118 with a tune and tires. I sold it in anticipation of getting a 2015 ..now I'm not to sure that the 2015 will be any faster.
I do care about horsepower to weight and Ford should be ashamed that they are...
If there is no key start which allows you to have a variety of ignition positions, ie just on without starting car how will the SCT hand held tune be activated?
I'm sure I missed this discussion somewhere.
Also, will all the models have the toggle switches?
Good thread re horsepower numbers
It is bull crap for Ford to leave us hanging like this. Perhaps in europe it doesn't matter but to us it's a big part of why we buy these cars.:ford:
New member here...name is Jay (omcar) and just sold my 2011 mustang gt automatic base model in anticipation for the 2015. My name is on the list locally for the 50th anniversary model.
If I don't get that car I will order a base automatic GT with 3.55s in silver with black interior.
