Push Start Button question from a new to Mustang owner

this sounds dumb but I can't word a owner manual/google/forum search well enough to find my answer. On push to start Mustangs is there a way to power up the manual trans car but not start the engine? Like when you just want to verify that all the lights are working correctly. Like on the old key start vehicles where you had an accessory position on key switch.

yep thats what i do with mine push button nothing else
cant remember how long it stays on like while washing car radio etc

Yep same with the auto cars, just don't touch the brake when you push the button...
