Hello.

I purchased a used 2016 Roush that has a crankcase breather that I'd like to remove as even after cleaning, too much oil is dripping out. After driving the car hard I'm getting some "burning/smoke" that I'm uncomfortable with. I purchased a fathouse oil cap, but it's not a 1 to 1 swap (the oil cap was VERY loose). I believe I'm missing the oil filler tube (snapshot below). If anyone is familiar, your opinion would be appreciated (and also if you know the PN of the oil filler tube to purchase, I'll owe you one) :)

Ford has been marking different parts, ie oil caps, tubes, etc and some of the other parts as same part number but different parts. So you may order for a mustang but get an escape part. It took me 4 different orders to get the right part because of this.

I'm not sure if this tidbit helps you, but it's something to keep in mind. I bought a used set of billet caps that came off a 2015-17 mustang GT. My car is a '22, and all the caps fit except the oil cap. I ended up buying a brand new 2018-'23 cap and gave the old cap to my daughter (it fit her 2012 Mustang GT perfectly!)
I also read ( on this forum, I believe) that on my Gen 3 Coyote, I could remove the oil cap "filler neck" and twist the cap directly on to the valve cover ( I assume that's true for all generations of Coyotes -- can anyone confirm?)
So....did Roush change valve covers?
Did the Roush originally come with that filler neck, or any filler neck?
I'm looking forward to hearing what your ultimate fix ends up being!

My '18 you can just put the oil cap where the filler neck screws in, and eliminate the filler neck, also.

thanks all for the reply, turns out I'm just a little dumb and the new oil cap didn't have an o-ring. Thanks American Muscle!!
