I'm looking at getting a fore L2 kit with 1050s and using my whipple rails. I just want to run e85 so pbd said I needed to run a return style fuel system.

With that said there is the option to run both pumps all the time or one constant and the other one kicks in with boost. What are the pros and cons here? I mostly dd my car but it does get some racing time here and there. I'm only looking to make 800-850 max and not go up in the future.

I think ether way would work just fine. On a daily driver I would think about one on and one with boost. That way you will not wear out both pumps at the same time. Also have a way to manually turn on the back up pump just in case you’re primary pump goes out you can still get home

I ran both pumps for about 1.5 years before selling the boosted 15.

I am going to try to run one off a hobbs switch. Several on here have said two all the time. We'll see.

My car doesn’t like both pumps on all the time. It runs ok but makes some strange noises. I’m pretty sure it’s because my return line is only a -6. I run one on a Hobbs switch, but set the activation pressure as low as possible.

I've been running with two Fore pumps on fulltime and a third on a switch. No issues after 2 years of E85

I run one pump, the bring on 2 and 3 on a hobbs switch. I test hobbs and pumps 2&3 regularly. All 3 pumps are F90000285.

It is personal preference as to if you want to stage them or run all pumps all time. Staging them will help keep the temps down in the tank and the system will run lower amps as well; both will help the longevity of the pumps as well.

We typically stage them but there are guys out there running both pumps all time on daily drivers.

Hit me up and we can get a system dialed in for you.

I run mine both full time, also with (2) wallbro 465 (F90000267) pumps. My car is not a daily though. I kinda agree with others logic to run one pump if your car is a daily and the other on a hobbs switch. Problem is some of the tuners want you to run 2 pumps full time to cover their ass.

I went with the dual GT350 pump setup that runs based on throttle input. Otherwise, remains "stock like" with fuel up to around 800 rwhp. While that may not suit everyone, it's nice to know that it's a good system with pumps that should survive a long time. Mine is a secondary car but I still like that OEM-like setup and not having to worry about how much fuel is in my tank just driving around.
