Procharger Stage 2 Installed, Tuning Questions

I have headers as well. Their tune didn't work for me either. Mine ran rich and I had a hanging throttle. They told me they couldn't help me and I'd need to have a tune created just for my car. I used Lund. The first tune they sent me eliminated the rich issue and the hanging throttle magically disappeared. All I need now are good tires...

I changed fuel and it doesn't run rich anymore, but I will get a custom tune. Just need an additional 450$ lol.

Bartly, Did PC ever get you a tune to correct the high idle? It seems that you had to do a smog check this month?? I would think they would be jumping all over this for you.

Yes, we take customer service very seriously, even to the point of working at nights/weekends/ and in this came sometimes holidays.

We have worked with him since day one and it's my believe that everything is 100% perfect now, other than the normal throttle hang that the cars do stock as a "rev-match" of sorts.

It will be interesting to see what has caused the issue. And I guess they don't need no stinking datalogs to get it fixed...

Have you contacted [email protected] with your serial number and details? That is by far that fastest way to get in touch with us.

Couple things to make note of that had stumped others.
1) We set the idle at 750 rpm
2) The idle can go up a touch, right before a gear engagement.
3) The "rev-match" hang, that Ford has placed in the car, is still present.

I asked them for help looking at my data logs about my car running rich. I don't know if they saw them or not but said my headers were the cause. I doubt that and believe it might have been gas related but whatever I'll just get a custom tune.

We can't do tunes for cars with headers, which had been discussed multiple times... so that was the end of that topic. I thought we were on the same page there, and that was the end of the topic. I had posted as to the AFR value we command in our tune ranging from .78-.82

No, mine is not 100% normal like before the ProCharger install. It doesn't decelerate when taking my foot off the gas pedal like it used to. When driving through a parking lot with people and cars I have to be extra careful and on the brakes because it wants to faster than I want it to. The only thing that is working correctly is it now drops to 750rpm when I come to a stop so no more check engine light.

You might want to have maybe a 'Staff Meeting' and verify that you're correct.

It sounds like the throttle plate may not be closing all of the way. When I was working with PC I tried to tell them this but they didn't want to listen. When I released the gas pedal it seemed to stay put and not roll back.

U could have someone look at the throttle plate and make sure its closing,car dont have to be running but ign has to be on.These cars do have a rev hang stock and imo fi seems to make it a little more noticeable. I am fine with but i could see some being not comfortable with it.

Looks like he just sent the emails while we were on holiday break.
So ya, looks like the other tuner working with him is reviewing them now.

Again, Brads issue is a bit odd since NOBODY runs a file now that looks like his. Everything that we are doing to the tune, should make it die completly at stoplights. (So not something we can send out to others, cause it would caue more problems then it would cure)

Exactly the same as HEMI cars do (no matter what F/I is on them)

AND, if someones surge valve is stuck in the closed position it will make it worse. (I just the other day found a S550 mustang, where the valve was mounted in the bumper to where the linkage would get caught up on the bumper facia and hang closed)

In all fairness I recieved the latest tune from them last Wednesday if I recall. Installed it when the engine was hot and car drove much better, the idle rpm dropped to 750. I told them Thursday that it was looking good and that I thought things seem to be all better. Friday or Thursday night I noticed the whole "rpm pushing the car thing even though my foot was off the gas pedal". So I sent an update to the tuner Friday night that that was going on. So it has really only been one business day since I sent that update. I then sent some videos and logs to the tuner Saturday to see if that could help them figure out why it wants to act like my foot is still on the gas pedal even though it is not.

I got a Lund Tune and all is well. It was a tune issue not a vacuum leak or stuck throttle plate.

Yes I have been in contact with them and have received 3 revisions.
My car was idling at 1200 and 1500 with the clutch pressed in at a stop light for over 20 seconds. This happened NUMEROUS times after the car was warmed up and driven over 10 miles.
The latest tune seems to have solved the issue, I was only able to put a few miles on the car last night but the revs no longer hang with the clutch pressed in.

edit, i also had the issue "rpm pushing the car thing even though my foot was off the gas pedal" but that seems to be gone.
